Safety
Due to the inherent risks in any physical activity, we have a peerless dedication to ensuring that safe practices are followed and Guests are educated on proper riding habits when out on the road. All Guides are required to be First Aid and CPR certified and are qualified adventure guides, deliver pre-ride Safety Talks and Tips, constantly be aware of Guests’ riding habits and offer suggestions or warnings as necessary.
Our Guides
Guides provide our Guests with fun, dynamic, and safe experiences in South Africa’s most beautiful locations. During a typical day, we are extremely organized and flexible. We educate our Guests on safe biking techniques, enrich their cultural understanding, motivate those who wish to challenge themselves, pamper those looking for the ultimate in luxury, and provide vacations of a lifetime for all.

Our grading system explained
Technical ability
Easy: Mostly tar roads or easy gravel roads. Possibly some jeep track.
Moderate: Single track with some bridges, rocks and berms.
Advanced: Single track with bridges, rocks, steep ascents/descents and berms. Some steep climbing.
Difficult: Single track with bridges, rocks, steep ascents/descents and berms. Steep climbing with possible jumps and drop-offs.
Fitness Level
Easy: Short distances with minimal climbing, You should be able to maintain and average speed of 15km/h – 20km/h for road cycling and 10km/h – 12km/h for mountain biking. Not greater than 30km distance. Not greater than 300m total ascent
Moderate: Long distances with climbing. You should be able to maintain and average speed of 20 – 25km/h road cycling and 12 – 14km/h mountain biking. Not greater than 60km distance. Not greater than 800m ascent.
Advanced: Long distances with climbing. You should be able to maintain an average speed of 25 – 30km/h for 3hrs+ road cycling and 14 – 18km/h mountain biking. Not greater than 110km distance. Not greater than 1200m total ascent.
Difficult: Long distances with extended climbing. You should be able to maintain an average speed of +30km/h for 5 hrs+ road cycling and >18km/h mountain biking. Greater than 110km distance. Greater than 1200m total ascent.
